In the kitchen
Steep
Always in warm liquid, never boiling, for about 15 minutes before use. That is how it releases all its colour and aroma.
Dose
As a guide: 4–5 threads per serving. Adjust to the dish; a little goes a long way.
Store
Closed pack, in a cool, dry, dark place, away from the heat of the stove.
Frequently asked questions
Is the sample the same saffron as the order?
Yes. It is the same Super Negin saffron, same grade and same origin.
Which format suits a restaurant?
The tins: 50 g if you use saffron regularly but in small amounts, 100 g if you use it every day. Both are opaque and airtight; the 100 g tin has the best price per gram.
Do you provide quality analysis?
We work with laboratory analysis per lot under ISO 3632. Ask for it with your order.
Is there a minimum order?
No. You can order a single unit.
Do you deliver across Spain?
Yes. We deliver anywhere in Spain within 48 hours.
Is it legal to import saffron from Iran?
Yes. Saffron is a food product and importing it into the European Union is legal. Every lot comes in with its health documentation and we pack it in Valencia with a lot number and best-before date, so it can be traced from the field to your kitchen.
